Urban Native Homes Incorporated was established February 7, 1979, by 5 Hamilton Native Community members. The corporation was formed to address the shelter needs of the Hamilton Native Community. CMHC approved an allocation of 10 single family homes.

Goals: To provide affordable housing accommodation to low and moderate income Native Families in the City of Hmailton.
Urban Aboriginal Housing Program: The portfolio currently consists of 236 units scattered throughout the City of Hamilton.
Management: Seven men and women volunteer their time and offer their expertise. They are the Board of Directors. A staff of fifteen manage the daily adminstration.
History: Established in 1979 to address the shelter needs of the Hamilton Native Community.
Community Membership: The membership of Urban Natvive Homes Inc. consists of individuals and corporations. All members, Native and non Native, have shown an active interest in the housing of Native people in an urban setting.
Mission Statement: "To strengthen individual and family self-reliance and sense of community by providing safe affordable housing and support services for Native people in the Ctiy of Hamilton.
