Homelessness Program
The Hamilton Executive Directors' Aboriginal Coalition in collaboration with its member organizations, the City of Hamilton, Community Services Department, Service Canada and the HPI Community Advisory Board (CAB) is proud to be directing HEDAC Homelessness Partnership Strategy Program 2009-2011.
HEDAC's 2009-2011 HPS program continues into the second year of on the ground homlessness prevention work. Recognizing that short term programs have difficulty in building sustainability in change and progress and that long term programming can be a better solution to building capacity; HEDAC's Homelessness Projects continue to build momentum and strength as each project addresses specific gaps in available services those experiencing poverty and or homelessness within the Urban Aboriginal Community of Hamilton.
HEDAC's 2009-2011 Homelessness Partnership Strategy Program includes 8 Projects. Most projects are scheduled to completed by March 31, 2011 or earlier. Upon successful outcomes the Hamilton Executive Directors' Aboriginal Coalition will complete a thorough evaluation of the program and project works.
